New: a full amortization table, not just a monthly payment

· CalcHub

A monthly payment number tells you what you’ll pay. It doesn’t tell you how that payment is actually built, month after month. Our amortization schedule generator shows the whole thing:

On a $25,000 loan at 6.5% for 5 years, the monthly payment is $489.15 — but month 1 sends $135.42 of that to interest, while month 60 sends just $2.64. Watching that shift row by row is the clearest way to understand why paying down a loan early saves more than it looks like it should. Also embeddable if you write about loans or mortgages.
